Since 2013, Kale Jet Engines has been carrying out development and mass production activities for turbine engines, specializing in compact designs with high thrust-to-weight ratios. The company powers the SOM Cruise Missile with the KTJ-3200S variant and the Atmaca Missile with the KTJ-3200A variant of Turkey’s first indigenously developed jet engine, the KTJ-3200. Both engines are currently in serial production. In addition to the KTJ-3200, the company has developed the KTJ-1750 and KTJ-3700 turbojet engine fully funded by its own resources—which currently power the Çakır and Kara Atmaca missiles. In 2024, the company has also started turbofan engine development activities, expanding its propulsion technology portfolio.
Kale Jet Engines indigenously designed and developed Türkiye’s first flight-proven turbojet engine, KTJ-3200. This engine is integrated to the Turkish/NATO SOM missile (KTJ-3200S), while a variant (KTJ-3200A) has been made ready for the Turkish/NATO Atmaca missile. Also, some other variants of KTJ-3200 were developed and produced for other national platforms. THRUST: 3200N SPECİFİC FUEL CONSUMPTİON: 1.18 kg/h/daN WEIGHT: 50 kg
Kale Jet Engines also designed and developed KTJ-1750 engine. Qualification of this engine is completed and it is integrated to Çakır, Türkiye’s Light Cruise Missile. Missile flight tests were already completed successfully. THRUST: SPECIFIC FUEL CONSUMPTION: 1.18 KG/H/DAN WEIGHT: 50 KG
Newest member of KTJ Series Engines family is KTJ-3700. It powers Türkiye’s new cruise missile: Kara Atmaca (Atmaca-UM). Flight testing has commenced. All KTJ-Series Engines are flight-proven.
